Bamboo Hut - Sylvan Lake

That was my first time at bamboo hat, it was brilliant, the sea salt squid was delicious. eating was tasty, we booked online for a table, but when we came there they did not seem to know that we were coming, the restaurant is very. 'plain' inside, but eating is great and if I lived closer, I would go a lot more often

This restaurant has won many awards, but I wonder what dish the Thai Green Curry, the chicken was over boiled and it had very little curry sauce. The place is very hot, so dress easy in summer. Also, go to dinner early... it closes early!

I just returned from Bamboo Hut. We are new in Sylvan and had asked for local inputs how to try restaurants. Several mentioned Bamboo hat and since we had to eat tonight (a different story! We thought that was a good time to check it. On other websites, similar to Trip Advisor, we found reviews on the map on scoring Bamboo Hut. Well, we understand why. We both ordered the 'monster dish' and we liked that there were 3 spikes of meat. It was pretty good, not the best we ever had, but decent. But we were placed in the back of the restaurant, which is not as bright, or beautiful, as the front part. We were the only ones in there, not a big problem, but it's a little dark and dingy. In addition, we were completely ignored!!!! We told the waitress what we wanted to order, she brought it when it was done, and we never saw her again. Not even. In fact, I had to go forward to ask for hot sauce. Because we were never checked when we were done, we just had to go ahead without our bill to pay. It was the poorest service we experienced in our 10 visits, or so, in the local restaurants in the short month we were here. Would I be back? Probably, but only because they offer certain dishes that are not offered anywhere else. Of course not because of the service. Service failure.

Order online at 6 pm; received email consultation pickup time would be 7:20 pm; showed at 7:25 pm and was recommended that they were so busy that they had to turn off the orders. It was Father's Day. We received no notice that our order was canceled....Why said they would prepare the order in 15-20 minutes. I couldn't wait any longer.

Bamboo Hut used to be really good. It’s been a couple of years since I was here last and it’s still pretty decent, but not quite what it was. I recently ordered the Pad Thai and it is still top notch. They still make excellent...Thai food. Although I was disappointed that they no longer make Thai iced tea, their menu is still filled with all the classics that Thai lovers enjoy. As far as food quality is concerned, this place ranks well above average. The service wasn’t bad it was average. The host who seated us and the waitress who served us were always very civil. Were they passionate about their jobs? Are they led by an inspirational leader? No. They were just people doing their jobs. The atmosphere of the place is where things drop below average. You can tell that this restaurant was once pretty nice, but over time new paint becomes old, walls and furniture get scuffed up, and menus that were shiny and new eventually become tattered and torn. Unless management is constantly cleaning, repairing, replacing things, and investing back into the business, things will always slowly go downhill. And this is what is happening here. If you want good Thai food, I don’t know a better place in Sylvan Lake to get it. If you want a great restaurant experience you can probably do better. I only hope that the management will reinvest in their staff morale and reinvest in their facilities to return the Bamboo Hut to be the great restaurant it used to be.
