Bidrage med feedbackOur party ordered pad thai (excellent), sizzling oysters (meh!), pork ribs (succulent), mushrooms (very good), and a vegetable dish (nice). As appetizers, we had a spicy affair served atop betel leaves, and it was unique and, well, spicy. The food was fresh and hot - nothing that sat under a heat lamp. Steam was rolling off of every plate. Not all of the food came out at once, but close enough to not cause any issues. The servers were pleasant. They have full bar service, beer and wine. This location is below The Connaught, on the corner of Liverpool, Oxford, and Wentworth, across the street from the southeast corner of Hyde Park. I've had better Thai, but this is not bad at all.
Visited 26 Feb 2017, a group of four of us. Without a doubt the best Thai Food i,ve tasted outside of Thailand. Every dish was beautiful. Service was excellant. Will definately be back...
This place makes some good chicken pad Thai and crispy pork, came recently with a work friend and were a bit surprised that's it was pricey since there's a lot competition around it but found the food was delicious!
Located by the traffic lights where Oxford Street meets Hyde Park, this quiet Thai restaurant has an amazing setting and super friendly staff. We were the only people in there @ 8pm on a Saturday night, which was sad to see because the food really was amazing (this was our second visit). We're vegetarians and they have an amazing veggie menu - possibly the best I've seen of any restaurant in Sydney. The pad Thai and pineapple rice were both full of flavour and clearly made from fresh produce. We shared 3 dishes between two of us and it came to $46, which we thought was really, really good. It's worth noting that it's cash only (it's a new restaurant, so maybe this will change!).The restaurant seats about 30 people, and has a separate bar area that had a good selection of drinks - they also have a promo for $3 bottles of Singha beer all day on Thursdays and Sundays at the moment. There's no parking at the restaurant and the menu isn't easy to view on the website, but the quality of food, the price, and the friendly staff convinced me to come straight home and write this review. We live close by and will definitely be returning soon, hopefully with a few friends.
Located on Oxford Street, directly across from Hyde Park, is Ohbar Thai Restaurant. This restaurant offers traditional Thai cuisine with a subtle Japanese influence.
