Tuesday night, 7pm - managed to get the last table for 2 insideThere was a function going on up the back so it was probably noisier/busier than usual.
This place was awesome Went on a Friday night and it was packed Good thing I had reservations.
I couldn't have asked for a better lunch. So much class and great food. A little bit on the expensive side but once that plate hits your table and that food touches your lips, you understand why. Consistency and vibrance is key in many restaurants for me. No.10 bistro brings a classy vibe that enriches the history of the building, consistency in not only the food but service as well. Ugh, I mean look at those gnocchi- incredible! Steak cooked perfectly and seasoned with care. Also, the bread and butter pudding was delicious- not to mention that ginger ice cream wow what an experience.
Located in Sydney's oldest public building, The Mint. The setting is very traditional and you see it in the decor and setting. There is a choice of indoor or outdoor balcony seating which would be pleasant if not being a rainy day. Luckily we selected indoor seating. We were greeted warmly and seated in the private dining room (basically a smaller version of the main dining room). Service is always attentive but not overbearing. I had Duck & Shitake Pie (Sour Cream Pastry & Leaf Salad) and Shoe String Fries. To drink I had the Vault (Passionfruit, Watermelon, Cranberry Juice, Honey). The pie was tasty and definitely home made but it was quite expensive for what it was. The pastry was nice and flaky. The salad was nice but glad I ordered fries as not filling enough as is. Fries were nice and crunchy. The drink was awesome. Really fruity and refreshing.
