La Calle - Sydney

By the power of suggestion we stopped after seeing a gentleman outside with a jug of sangria.We went through the door and were greeted cheerfully by the bar person. She made the sangria and we had a good chat. Loved sitting out side enjoying watching the people while sipping through our jug.

Woolies dinner rolls for bread, that should say it all. Chorizo not authentic, gambas not in olive oil, Russian salad had seafood substitute. I guess that's what happens when you don't have a clue or Spanish or Portuguese cooks. Do yourself a favour and head a few doors down to captain Torres, authentic.

Surprised at this restaurant. Had the Paella. The 40 minute wait was well worth it. Waitress was very good.

Sat at a table on the street and people watched while we had the Chefs Selection Antipasto plate and a glass of wine. Wait staff were attentive.

Had some tapas and a plate of paella. I am not very familiar with spanish food. The tapas was ok but the paella was a let down... The spanish waitress was very pleasant and good service.
