Bidrage med feedbackThe Japanese restaurant is located on the 1st level of World Square Shopping Mall. It was almost 7.15pm after a day of touring at the Fish Market and Broadway Mall. The place was quite crowded when we arrived. We decided to order the take away meals and saw that they did have special promotional Bento sets, ranging from A$8 to A$12, depending of the size and content of the Bento sets, that included fish, salmon and chicken etc.A young Japanese boy was manning the counter (whom we suspect was the boss's son). We chatted for a while and was told he was born in Sydney though from Japan. He was friendly and polite. At this recommendation, we bought 2 Bento sets (Chicken Katsu and Teriyaki Chicken, each A$12). In the end, he charged us only A$20.We told him we would like to visit Coles, the Supermarket at the basement first to buy some groceries before collecting them. After a good 30 min, we returned and the boy helped us to warm up the Bento sets before passing to us.Well, the food was great and yummy. Portion was generous and huge. And the chicken were well marinated with tasty sauce, and the deep fried chicken was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. There were also some vegge though we thought it would be perfect if they can include some salad/coleslaw with some cut fruits (this is very common in Japanese Bento, usually with a piece of water melon or oranges). As we do not really fancy miso soup, so we didn't ask for it but this was chargeable at A$1.Generally the food was tasty and yummy and we did enjoy it. Pricing was reasonable, and staff was friendly and helpful. We did a return visit the following day (as we wanted to try its other dishes but too bad it was closed for the next 2 days (Christmas break).Highly recommended, if you want something simple but good, quick and not not expensive!
This is a lunch time favourite, great value, fresh, cooked to order Japanese. Cosy little restaurant with great customer service and delicious food. If you enjoy Japanese food, you will love this place.
I love that you can choose your options to top your udon. Always fresh and great tasting, very friendly staff.
I had a Ramen set that included pickles and a rice dish. The broth was okay and the noodles seemed to be the commercial frozen type.My wife is a picky eater and didn't care much for her dish, her katsu was soggy and the curry wasn't Japanese. Service was so, so... No one checked on us and had to raise my hand for the check.
Definitely must try! The chef and owner is Japanese from Okinawa. The price is very reasonable. Potion is good and I did not taste MSG! A bit regret the crumbed prawn on tempura was too thick affected the taste!! Keep it up!!
