Ananas - Sydney

This is the 3rd or 4th time I've been to Ananas and the first time in over a year.

Absolutely delicious! The food was amazing, every taste and flavour was to savour.

I went here for a fancy after work drink with a friend and it was delightfulA beautiful decor with pineapple (ananas in French) and French themes.

So much expectation for this place so disappointing in every sight. ananas has been on my list for some time and was super excited to be there for nye. they actually offered a very cheap 3 course set menu for nye to $99 (drinks not included) but the dinge just didn't run well from the minute when I went through the door, I came to 7:15 watch booking was said that the table was not ready to have a sitting at the bar. I was the first of my group to write my friends while the waiter, without telling me that the drink menu was stuck in my face between my phone, then left! Ananas is a small French restaurant with a great location with views of the harbour of sydney. at the circular Quay end of the phillip street, ananas claims to offer “classic French food with a twist”. a few years ago I was in the restaurant when it was cafe nice and I was also in ananas when it was in the rocks in the argyle complex – both were great experiences so I was looking forward to the attempt of the new pineapple location. that was my first time I tried Steak-Tarte and it was really well done. my ess mate commented that it tasted like a “big Mac” of maccas that I had to agree was a pretty appealing description.
