Nordis Svolvær - Svolvaer

The option for no fish eater is not so good. we ordered supplies and a burger. these are the only two things they can order as no fish eaters. I also asked about something green aside. they have calculated 790NOK for about 50 grams. the taste of the main courses was ok.

Came here with friends for lunch. Good omelette and the waitresses were alright. Came back at 4pm for a snack and this time, we have been scolded in a mean way by some manager because we didn’t see the sign saying we had to wait at the entrance to be “greeted” by some butler. Then I don’t know what greeting means. What a pity for the image of Svolvær and Norway.

Took a long time to get served even with online ordering. The restaurant was not full. Ordered crayfish that initially looked great! Looked like a descent portion, but the crayfish were very small compared to other places(restaurants) in Norway. You could not eat the claws, because of the small size. Also when all the crayfish had been emptied for meat, the meat were barely two table spoons. It was so little food, and I am a petite person eating small portions. I left hungry. Very messy to eat and no wet napkins. This was also one of the most expensive dishes on the menu. In addition the “**** sack”? were not removed, and again difficult to remove due to the small size. I would stay away from this restaurant, expensive and nothing impressive about the food or service. Many other much better restaurants nearby.

Personnel is not very friendly and made me feel very uncomfortable. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very tense. The girls behind the bar were nice, but the waiter was very unfriendly. Our friends came to have lunch and I waved at them so that they could sit next to us, and he became very angry at me. He screamed at me that I should not tell people where to sit and then he continued to come back to me asking if I wanted to run the restaurant. It was really confusing, since we had been sitting here for a while and spend over €200 together. I felt very uncomfortable and did not like the way he talked to us as customers. I would not recommend.

Waiters didn't seat us for about 10 minutes (the restaurant was nearly empty). The fish was dry and tasted like nothing. The pizza was good, fish soup was okay and the place is really pretty. Big dissapointment for us tbh, wouldn't recommend, also it's pretty expensive...
