I believe that this restaurant has provided me with one of the best gastronomic experiences I have had in Iceland. Although the country is amazing, its culinary culture may not offer much outside of the capital. Arriving in Höfn after several days of limited food options, we were eager to try something new. We stumbled upon this cold yet charming restaurant and decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that Höfn is known as "the lobster capital of the north," so we knew what to order. The lobster was exquisite, the prices reasonable, and we had a great time during our visit. In Iceland, it's important to seize every opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal, as you never know when you'll be stuck with gas station food for the rest of your journey.

I think that with this restaurant I no longer have many more decent gastronomic experiences to review in Icelandic. it is certainly a fascinating country but in terms of culinary culture it is not too much to offer (outside the capital). We arrived at höfn after a few days eating where we could or buying something at the gas station supermarkets and wanted to try something different. in this city/city we find several restaurants (the only thing we had to travel until then) and we ask that we recommend one. So we ended up in this place, cold but very nice, without knowing what we'd find. Once inside we were told that höfn is published as: “the capital of the north of the lobster” so we had solved the menu. The lobsters were excellent, the price was very good and the hours we were there were really fun. and it is that, in Icelandic, you have to take advantage of every opportunity to try good cuisine that they present you along the journey, as you never know how many gas station dinners will wait for you on the rest of the route.

We loved our stay here during a non-speaking tourism time frame. the breakfast was pretty good and a decent spread. there were no eggs, speck, etc. warm dishes. all cold dishes. loved the two types of hering (especially pickled spiced. room we got was bigger than expected and soundproof was good. we heard the birds in the morning, but not gracious, grateful. the people who work here are so friendly and had great suggestions to eat in the opposite. it seems that the owner has friends who live in the opposite to hang, even. really tight and charming. the facilities were clean and comfortable. highly recommended!

The restaurant is in a stunning location with beautiful people. The food was excellent and breakfast is included. The restaurant offers a scenic view of wide fields and 4 glaciers in the background. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I would definitely return without hesitation.
