Bidrage med feedbackWe had a fantastic experience at the old-fashioned fish fry. One of the highlights for me was their beer-battered perch option, which I really appreciated. The service was attentive, which is always a bonus. We were seated right away, which was great since we had young kids with us.
This was my first visit to Tailgators in two years, and unfortunately, I was not impressed. The place felt quite empty, and the blonde bartender seemed more focused on playing bar dice than on attending to the football pool or taking my drink order. If she had been busy, I could understand, but that was not the case. It seemed like organizing the football pool and the bar games took precedence over serving customers. This may just be my experience, but I didn't feel very welcomed by the service. On top of that, it took an unreasonable amount of time to get my drink. I won’t be returning, that’s for sure.
My wife waited at the bar for 11 minutes, while two bartenders repeatedly passed by without acknowledging her. One bartender was busy on the phone, while the other stood in front of her pouring a pitcher of beer without even saying hello or letting her know he'd be with her shortly. It was incredibly disappointing. We chose to take our business elsewhere and went to Thirty Dollar, where we received fantastic service with our group of four and enjoyed a bill of over $100. It's important to remember that money can come in many forms, and the way you treat your customers says a lot about your business. We won't be returning, which is a shame as this used to be one of our favorite places during our last visit to Sussex a decade ago. Unfortunately, time often changes things, and your customer service in the service industry has really declined. If I could give this place zero stars, I definitely would.
