Bidrage med feedbackMy initial impression of this restaurant was not good. When I arrived at 8pm, three staff members were sitting at separate tables and there were no other customers in sight. The food was mediocre overall, but the duck curry stood out as the highlight. The lack of atmosphere and outdated decor, reminiscent of the 70s in a negative way, only added to the disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place at all.
I expected better than what was presented. A very busy part of Crown Street with plenty of local competition, so I thought good tasty food was on the menu. Unfortunately it did not reach this level, the food was OK, with one dish was overcooked and dry and overall the portions were quite small.I left a little disappointed.
This little shopfront restaurant is a gem. This restaurant has the best Asian pancake of any restaurant I've been to. I have so many favourites here, it is easy to go often without repeating any dish. As well as the pancake, I love the lightly fried eggplant with lemongrass. The salads and stir fries are all good. I like trying a new one each time.
This is a very friendly restaurant with good food. BYO makes it cheaper with a bottle shop just nearby towards Cleveland Street. We calamari for a starter - tough and chewy - try something else. The mains however were great. I wanted the lotus leaf salad and asked for a recommedation for an accompaniment - which was deep fried eggplant. Not our usual choice but we went with it and the combo was fabulous. Got in early at 6:30 or so and by 8 it was a packed house on Saturday night.
This place is so small you could be forgiven for walking past and do not be alarmed by outward appearances as it's not at all appealing with dead flies stuck between the menu and the window! You take your own alcohol and luckily there is an off licence a few doors down and when you walk in you could be in someone's lounge but you are greeted with a warm smile. We ate quail with spicy salt lemon dip. Fried vermicelli spring rolls with pork, prawn and fish sauce. Chicken curry in coconut with onion and sweet potato. Duck, stir fried in spicy sauce with snow peas and sugar peas. Crispy garlic chicken. Mixed vegetables and special fried rice. Tasted delicious, very authentic and very good portions too. Fantastic value for money.A must for anyone who loves oriental food. We had so much left over they even packed it in takeaways for a great breakfast next day!
