Norfolk Hotel - Surry Hills

I didn't have high expectations for the pub when I first saw it from the outside, but we decided to stop in for a drink before heading to a dance class. To my surprise, the pub had a great beer selection. Even though we missed happy hour, we were still able to get Norfolk beer for $5. The overall atmosphere was captivating and inviting. I would definitely return for drinks and might even give the food a try next time!

The Norfolk had started to look a bit worn out recently. The outdoor furniture was torn and the tables were quite dirty. Fortunately, someone has made improvements with new paint and fabric, making the courtyard much more pleasant. The bar staff vary in skills and attitude, with some being talented and friendly, while others seem inexperienced. If you get a good bartender who can make a great margarita, you're in luck; otherwise, the drinks can be disappointing. The food at The Norfolk is decent but not exceptional, and the menu could use an update. Despite these drawbacks, it is still worth a visit as there are often great tunes playing and pets are welcome.

Beautiful location with a great selection of drinks at the bar. I was pleasantly surprised to hear CCR playing. We stopped by after dinner for a drink and had a fantastic time.

We enjoyed a Wednesday evening here- nice pub, outside space, great happy hour drinks. The food was very good- we tried the $12 Southern Steak not sure what to expect. It was cooked medium as requested, juicy and delicious in a Southern coating. Chips and slaw to accompany. Great value.

Have been wanting to come here for a while and recently we had a spontaneous visit on Taco Tuesday! Tacos were great value and chicken wings were unbelievable! Great happy hour and selection of drinks. Whole thing came in under $50 for the two of us and we had 3 rounds and tacos for 2. Really impressed, it didnt disappoint how much id built it up in my head. Will definitely be back soon!!
