Bidrage med feedbackWorking in building nearby grabbed a coffee on way in to work. I enjoyed it so much I got another at lunch. They even remembered my name and it was the first time I've ever been there. I can see myself becoming a regular!
The kimchi ken is one of the best dishes i have tasted hands down, really tasty coffee and fantastic service, only negative would be the seats were a bit hard to sit on.
Lunch two of us, one aged 24 the other 80. Haven is a favourite haunt for the 24 year old while the 80 year old visited for the first time. 80 year old more than pleased. Staff are friendly and helpful, the coffee excellent. The interior space is pleasantly airy, open, clean and nicely quiet after all the noise close to the station. Food being the reason we were there was fresh, well presented but not over the top which so often is just ridiculous. Top marks to Haven and their smiling staff.
I come here once every few months when I am in the Sydney office and have free time. I always find it an enjoyable experience as they have an inventive menu and I do like trying new foods from the menu. Today I managed to come in for breakfast before work and I was so glad. There was a new menu at least since I last came) and on it, a couple of breakfast dishes stood out All About Avo fresh avocado, edamame hummus, heirloom tomatoes, matcha sea salt, picked daikon, shaved radish, whipped fetta, poached eggs on sourdough). I opted for the It 's Not A Benedict which is both a vegan and gluten-free dish. You can, of course, change this by adding ham or salmon if you are a pescatarian. I was more interested in tasting the combination of burnt sage butter and yogurt and the interplay between the textures of the poached eggs, sweet potato puree, and potato rosti. This was simply sensational. I plan to come back next week and try the All About Avo dish too. As always Haven 's coffee was on point. They do after all specialise in coffee and in the fast few years their coffee just seems to get better and better, for my money, no one comes close to them in the Surry Hills area. Also at under $20 for breakfast and coffee, I think it still qualifies as cheap eats. Well done!
I’ve not had this kind of service in a very very long time! I stopped in noticing they had a plethora of charge points for me to revive my dying phone and stopped in for a quick coffee and charge. On top of 5 Star service, their coffee is pretty great too... I had a double espresso which I was told is from their Ethiopian single origin beans. The staff here are super friendly and knowledgeable about their product which was an amazing bonus to a quick pit stop. Haven on Harbour St. is awesome and 10/10 would recommend.
