Bear Bottom Resort - Sunrise Beach

Order: 2 pizzas, 1/4 nachos and drinks. Pizzas were good. Nachos however had refrigerator cold chili put in it. Outside cheese melted but the chili inside was so cold and gross to eat.

Bring your appetite for this place. Do not order the large nachos unless at least 12 people are there to help. Catfish platter was also enormous but oh so good. Breaded tenderloin was also good and huge, my son enjoyed it. Breading on both has a littlekick to it. The Geman pretzel with cheese was very salty but good too. There is a water slide and a swim up bar as well but wedid not go looked fun though. Also have cabins to rent and docks for those coming by boat. Apparently they have fireworks everySaturday also. We visited on a Sunday night which is good if you want avoid the crowds. Also have a decent game room and a fullbar.

We were staying in a camper and the noise from a party nearby on the road went on for multiple nights in a row, lasting until 5 am! We will never return to this nightmare. As sober individuals, we politely asked the people at the party to quiet down at 2 am on Sunday/Monday, but instead we were insulted, called nasty names, cursed at, and they even got louder. When spending our hard-earned money on a vacation, the last thing we need is to get no sleep because of disrespectful individuals who think they can make as much noise as they want at night and then become aggressive when asked to be quieter. If you value your sanity and need rest, stay away from this terrible place. We will not be returning and recommend finding a different campground on Lake of the Ozarks. However, it is worth mentioning that the restaurant and bar staff were polite and friendly.

We had always seen the advertisements for this restaurant, so we decided to make it our destination for the day on the boat. It was a great experience! It was more family-friendly compared to many other waterfront attractions, and they had a fantastic water slide.

We have been visiting this restaurant by boat for over 11 years. The main reason we keep coming back is because our four kids love the slides. However, we have noticed a significant decline in the quality of the food. We dined here in the first year, then chose to eat elsewhere for a few years before giving it another try. Unfortunately, our recent experience was still not up to par. The staff at the pool bar has always been unfriendly and unwelcoming, which is disappointing. Bartenders are supposed to be friendly and easy to talk to, but that has not been our experience here. Despite the food and service issues, we will continue to visit for our kids to enjoy the slides. However, we will not be spending money on food or drinks at the bar. Hopefully, the bar staff can improve their friendliness and communication skills in the future. We appreciate the efforts of the staff in these challenging times.
