Magic Wok - Sunnyvale

The corny name of the restaurant and Google Maps' description of the place might have you fooled that this is some mediocre Chinese restaurant, but Magic Wok is actually a gem of a Filipino restaurant. They do right by Pork Sisig here, with all the ooey-gooey gelatinous bits, unlike many of the other Pinoy eateries in the area that just use dry, white meat to cater to locals. It's not everyone's cup of tea, I'm sure, but their Pork Sisig satisfied a craving I've had for good Filipino food ever since I've moved out of Daly City. Portions are also sizable compared to the price, so great value as well. Call me a happy repeat customer.

This local hidden gem is a tasty treat. Most would call it a Chinese restaurant although they have a little more than just Chinese food. If you ask the gal who takes your order she will call it a modern interpretation of classic Chinese dishes. The service is always quick and fast. They have some seating inside but most patrons choose takeout or delivery. The Food is always hot and cooked-to-order! I have been eating here for two years and I’ve never been disappointed. This is my favorite Chinese take-out in Sunnyvale!

Lots of great things about this place. They have a really wide menu which includes Chinese food and Philippino food. Menu is in English too. The employee was extremely helpful and polite. The wait wasn’t long. And they labeled all the to go containers so you knew what was what. It’s not the best Chinese food I’ve ever had but it’s definitely adequate for your run-of-the-mill Chinese food craving. We’ll be going back.

I admire this restaurant! They serve splendid dishes, their menu is decent, The chief cook in that restaurant is very experienced, I love a lot tasting all their food. The food is consistently tasty, the service towards the customers is helpful. I often go to this restaurant and I not even once was disappointed. I recommend this place.

I recommend the bicol express and garlic rice. it is a great option if you are in a pinch.
