La Hacienda Mexican - Summerville

Listen here. Don't hate on La Ha. They have good food for a good price! I really like how this location cooks their Tony's Nachos compared to the Dorchester one. Both are good, this one is a little more flavorful. I gave 4 stars because their rice usually isn't cooked all the way through so you'll get some hard pieces of rice from being undercooked. My go to is either Tony's Nachos with a side of rice or their Quesadilla Verde! My husband enjoys their special rice, enchiladas, and sopes. I always down their chips and salsa and their frozen margaritas are good too!

Disappointing all the way around. Until today it had been several years since I had eaten at the Summerville location. Back then it was a pleasant experience and good food but very run of the mill. . Today I feel the restaurant is lacking in cleanliness and overall on a downward trend. , the chips seemed cooked in old grease the salsa was not flavorful. I ordered a lunch shredded beef chimichanga which came with a choice of beans or rice. I had the rice and it was barely warm and blandly seasoned. Even the soft drink was thin on syrup. I recommend trying the other La Ha restaurant near Tanger.

My husband and I come here all the time. Great service and reliable food. We usually get the queso fundido with chorizo. it is not a real cheese that is melted. It is more of a soupy queso... But good. I love their tortilla soup... It is gigantic and wonderful. Reasonable prices, and good food and service.

I don't eat Mexican as often as most people do I feel like. I don't care for it that much but I'm starting to like it more. This particular day, I felt like I could handle some Mexican so we came to La Ha. This was my first time coming to this location. There used to be a La Ha by my parents house in west ashley. We used to eat there all the time as a family. I had never been to the Summerville location before now. I walked in and I really liked the way this place looked inside. It had cool lighting and mirrors and just cool decor in general. The service was great, fast and friendly. I ordered the enchiladas suizas. These are chicken enchiladas with pineapples on top. I really enjoyed this dish. I liked the pineapples a lot. I will be back to this location. I really like the decor and my boyfriend lives near by. The food is excellent and is reason enough to come back.

There's a handful of reviews here about the poor service. Our service was decent. Not great. But I've definitely had worse. Food was pretty good. Portions were a little smaller than some of Mexican restaurants. But nothing drastic. Overall, it was an ok dinner. I'll probably eat here again.
