The Big Yellow House - Summerland

Great family style meals. Food was delicious. Loved their lemon cake! Children’s meals were charged based on their weight, a penny a pound ???? and gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean was an extra added bonus.

I loved that restaurant and their big scales, actually today I am visiting their location that was in San Diego California. Now it is a research center and I'm sitting here remembering my old good days in the 80's.

Great ambiance, mahogany and brass... so comfortable...I still return to eat for free in my dreams does anyone remember a weeks menu ?

We would walk there for dinner 2 times a week. Sad when it closed vacant for so long. I LOVED the stuffed mushrooms would love to have the recipe, if there are any former employees still around!!
