Love the food; atmosphere and history of the place.Friendly staff. Very casual. Great food and very filling. Serve beer in bottles, soda lemonade. Not open 7 days a week (closed Monday-Tuesday).
Burger was damn good! Fresh, hot, lots of toppings. Fries were hot and fresh. Absolutely delish! Also ordered the daily special as seen on Facebook. Boy, I wish they look like what they posted. The steak fingers were over cooked, or maybe precooked and held in a warmer, but were very dark, like being cooked in old grease. They were also cold. Gravy was hot and fresh and the fries are perfect. Wouldn’t recommend the daily special for a late afternoon meal, I guess, but definitely go and try the burgers! (Would have given 5 stars, despite the old, cold, steak fingers, but they didn’t wipe off any of the tables after clearing them and we had to sit in a puddle of water, assuming from a water leak, in order to have a clean surface to eat on). Will be a fun, outdoor atmosphere when the weather warms up. We will give it another try soon!
We were in Sulphur for the weekend and was told we needed to try this place. We were NOT disappointed!!! I had a burger and onion rings and my friends had burger, chicken sandwich and fries. We will be back!!
Drove 30 minutes and ate here for the first time and was not that impressed. First of all, sit outside on the two different patios or you will freeze inside. We did not know that and asked to sit inside because it was cool outdoors. They keep the AC at 65 degrees with a ceiling fan blowing all the time and even have a sign on one of the tables not to mess with it. And with it being so small inside (seats 30), you could not get away from the cold so we froze which made for an unpleasant eating experience. Every table around us said the same thing too. The burgers are all half pounders except one with lots of options. They were juicy and delicious, but the fries had a funky flavor to them. We don't know if they were fried in a particular oil, but we did not care for them at all. We also got fried peaches for dessert and found them to be hard, very little sugar and cinnamon on them and scant caramel so they were barely sweet enough to eat. They had the option of getting vanilla ice cream on top which we did not do but wished we had. It would have definitely made them sweeter but wasn't worth the $7. All in all, don't know that we will make the 30-minute trip to eat here again. There are so many burger joints around which are just as delicious.
