Dutch Valley - Sugarcreek

I'll start off with the waitress. She was a lovely person. In fact, the staff we encountered were wonderful, too. We had a line and waited outside initially, but the line moved very quickly. Yes, we did the buffet and it was the roast beef that got my attention. I'm not gonna mince words here, the food is your typical buffet food that leaves you disappointed unless your goal is to gorge yourself with blandish food in order to come out ahead on the price for the buffet. The good: take the broasted chicken over pan fried. The meatballs weren't bad, but they were rather sweet. The pickled eggs were okay. Maybe the mashed potatoes were okay? The bread pudding wasn't bad. The biggest downside is that it wasn't warm. If they would have that warm it would be better. The bad is everywhere on the food list. The roast beef was tasteless and left you regretting placing it on your plate. The rolls were like a store bought roll to me, but my wife actually liked them. The noodles had plenty of salt and reminds you of overcooked ramen noodles from those instant noodle packets. The gravy, stuffing and the list goes on were not very good. Did I mention the staff was nice and friendly? If you are looking for a buffet to fill yourself and you're a buffet person then this will be a nice place for you. For me, I won't be stopping by again.

Went for breakfast because the restaurant had gotten a good rating. I was disappointed. My wife got the buffet her eggs were brown from being overcooked and her breakfast potatoes had little to no taste. I had pancakes,and they were both doughy/sticky in the middle and barely warm to boot. Parking: Parking is right out front of the building really good sized lot, plenty of spots to accommodate a full restaurant. Service: Dine in
