Bidrage med feedbackGreat yakitori. Fares well even by japanese standards. This place only takes cash and they aren't cheap so make sure you bring enough. More so because you will most likely be ordering seconds! Seating is limited, best to book in advance.
Nice and cozy place, this place is a great place for Japanese barbecue that’s cooked by an actual Japanese. My favourite dishes were the pork belly and the beef ribs with miso sauce, and the SWEET POTATO WITH BUTTER IS AMAZING. The sake was great too. Service was a bit slow though.
If you are looking for Japanese skewers (to splurge on), i highly recommend this. A small eatery that felt like a shop in Japan, open kitchen to watch and friendly service. The moment i sank my teeth on the beef ribs, yum! Succulent meat cooked perfectly. The chicken thigh was tender. The citrus/tangy editions of breast meat were good too. Had the house sake to warm the night. Not a fan of the rice based dishes; go straight for the protein. Call to reserve seats.
Sumi-ka, is a little hide gem in subang jaya area.you will not get a table if no advanced reservation, unless you go there in early of evening (6 sharp is their opening time). Give it a try if you are yakitori fan. Chef is Japanese but service crews are local. I cant use 'roomy ' to describe this restaurant but small , cosy. One thing here, based on my observation, there are quite some Japanese are their regular customer.<br/ <br/ Foods ingredients are fresh.and chef seldom use any seasoning to marinate because they hope customer get original food 's taste without any MSG.<br/ Highly recommend their chicken wing, butter baked sweet potatoes and grilled brinjal, as well, some pig and chicken harslet skewers. Taste nice and full of seasalt aroma.
