Bidrage med feedbackGood place for breakfast. Certainly a crowd favourite, so make sure be there early. Food were awesome especially satey and lontong. Recommended.
There would probably be a queue here, but very systemetic- queue, assigned table, order at counter, pay, wait to collect food at table, queue no called, collect food, eat. Had the satay set and the first bite of the beef satay (batang pinang) was great- but consistency of tenderness varies from stick-to-stick. The pulut was good, and the rest were tastybas well. Gotta come again to try the other dishes.
The queues were incredibly long, and the place was crowded, so I would recommend arriving early to avoid the rush. However, once inside, they did offer a good variety of local breakfast options, including a wide selection of kuih. On the downside, the prices for the local breakfast were quite high compared to other places offering similar dishes. This might be something to consider if you're on a budget. Moving on to the specific dishes, the satay I ordered left much to be desired. It was served cold, and the excessive sweetness overshadowed the flavors. Additionally, the peanut gravy accompanying the satay was disappointingly watery. As for the lontong, it came with a predetermined set of dishes, such as squid and paru (beef lung), and unfortunately, customizing your own lontong was not an option. Moreover, if you wanted additional or desired dishes, you had to pay extra. The taste of the lontong itself was decent, but it fell short of being exceptional.
Even tho u got to q but they were very systematic and fast. We love the sate but the soto and lontong we rated it as moderate only. To avoid crowd it is advisable to go during weekdays... Pricing wise...affordable...
I come here to experience Johor style breakfast. Love it! You can eat Satay, lontong kering and spread of delicious kuih. Not to forget their nasi lemak and bihun goreng bungkus style. The satay comes in set of 5 chicken,5 beef and nasi impit with kuah. My set is tender and rasa rempah ratus. The kuah is a bit cair for me, i prefer thicker kuah sebab i suka my satay dilumuri kuah. The nasi impit is ok. I got myself Soto. And i love that the soto itself is full of flavour. Rasa daging pada kuah soto is just nice. The generous size of bergedil is something that i enjoy. My sister makan Mee rebus and it is good jugak. The amount of mee is generous. Rasa manis kuah mee pun just nice to my tekak. Some mee rebus tend to rasa sweet sgt. Roti bakar is a must try too. The roti is similar to the one that you will get at chinese kopitiam. And lastly, i ada makan kuih lompang pandan. It is so Sedap. Rasa and bau pandan (bukan artificial) memang ada. Sedap. Wangi. The salted cocounut on top compliment the kuih.
