Waves Market Deli - Stumpy Point

An island of excellent food, beverages, this that for a beach experience on Hatteras Island. I've not seen the quality elsewhere. Sandwiches that rival anything you would find in NYC, seriously. Nice folks that make life easy for you.

Notice to all: there is no public restroom here! And the customer service from the lady behind the counter is worse than horrible. That 's right, you can drop a $100 here in food and they won 't let you use the facility, not even for kids. Last week I stopped in on the way out of town. Traffic was backed up and I was going to grab some snacks for the family as we ventured back into traffic. While shopping, my preschool aged child says, Daddy, I have to go potty . The lady behind the counter was extremely rude, and refused to let my kid use the potty. I get it if you don 't want me to use your bathroom, but a small child can 't wait. When you are that exceptionally cold hearted to my kid, I won 't support your business. I put the snacks back and left.

Great sandwiches-market is great for picking up some needed items-gods selection of beer and wine.

We were visiting in the area and decided to stop in to buy some water. We got to the register and were greeted by a friendly cashier named Abby. She offered us a menu and raved out how good the food was. We brought the water to the car, took a look at the menu and knew this had to be our dinner spot for the night. We ordered burritos and they were HUGE. I'm not kidding. They weren't the least expensive burrito I've had but well worth the money. You get what you pay for. They were extremely filling and flavorful. We were really happy with our meal and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious bite!
