Sooner Bbq - Stuarts Draft

We were nearby and saw this from the street. We thought we shot him. I had the smoked chicken, green beans and Cole Slav. My husband had ribs, pork, beans and in-law. It was so good. The meat was very tender. People worked friendly and worked hard. We'll be 100% back. They even went beyond and beyond and pulled my chicken for me when it was not pulled normal. Restaurant and bathroom very clean.

I grew up in Texas and have been looking for a decent Texas style barbecue anywhere around here. In Texas, barbecue means beef not pork. We rolled up into Sooner barbecue and were immediately impressed with the smoking operation going on outside in the parking lot. The people were over-the-top friendly. I tried the brisket and can honestly say it is the best brisket anywhere around here! Tender. Smoky Flavorful. I have found my home for barbecue! There is no need to go anywhere else!

Found this place by chance, and it was my lucky day! This is hands down the best BBQ I 've ever had and I 'm very picky about BBQ! I 'm a firm believer that the best places to eat are your little mom and pop hole in the wall places. This holds true to Sooner 's BBQ with the quality of the food, service, and overall atmosphere. The owners are an adorable couple with a great sense of southern hospitality and creativity. They make their own BBQ sauces! I love the kimchi BBQ and the mild(on the sweet end) as well. I ordered the *Hog trough* which has fries, Mac&cheese, pulled pork, baked beans, and topped with Cole slaw... You just add your BBQ of choice. It 's was so delicious and filling that I had to share it! lol

We visited this location 3 days in a row for lunch and were so impressed. I recommend the pulled pork sandwich, the grilled meatloaf, and everything except the green beans. I felt like they were very plain and straight from a big can. I would have preferred those same contents washed, and seasoned with some of the pork. The beans were almost not worth mentioning compared to their main entrees. They also cover large events by order in advance. I saw a very busy set of entrepreneurs working hard for all of their guests. I overheard their frustration and would encourage large parties to order well in advance please!

My husband and I randomly stopped here after visiting the local greenhouse. We were both craving BBQ and this was the closest one. It was in a weird little strip mall so we didn't have high expectations but were totally blown away!!! Everything was PERFECT! The meat was juicy, perfectly spiced, and so tender that it fell off the bone. The sides were equally as impressive! I don't know how they make their collard greens but these are my favorite now. Just enough sweetness and vinegar with the leaves still holding a bite. I daydream about it. It's been a few weeks since we've gone but I think we need to make another trip out here for the food!
