Ruby’s - Stroud

My Husband and I live 20mins away an we love this place! Food is always great service is wonderful! And the drinks are bomb. Seriously though we go up as much as we can!

Not overly impressed for the first time eating there. Maybe it's because we were there at 8:30 and they close at 9, maybe it's because the people there were having a good time drinking and talking and the kitchen was closing down. The food was good...EXCEPT: I ordered the vegetarian grilled cheese and it had no tomatoes (even though that was part of the description); the coffee was old...like really old, I just told them don't waste time making a new pot for free coffee; the mushrooms used in everything are not REAL MUSHROOMS, they are the pre-cooked canned kind. Anyone who eats out anywhere knows REAL mushrooms make a difference. If you are going to pay $10 for a grilled cheese sandwich I want actual full flavor fungi. The prices are high in my opinion. The sandwich included chips, any other side cost money. My bill was over $11 for a sandwich that was good but not memorable (maybe the coffee wasn't free because the menu said the sandwich was supposed to be $10 so with tax that wouldn't compute). I watched another person I ate with pay over $28 for their meal. Staff was friendly and seemed efficient. Sorry Ruby's, for drinking or music I might come back, but for eating you won't be a go to. I'll come back at a different time at least once, maybe that will be a different experience.

Burgers are way too dry. There entire menu is way too overpriced for the poor quality of food. Who ever made the menu has ZERO experience in running a restaurant. Goodluck if you eat there while Nancy is working she's rude and hateful. Also has the most expensive drink menu I've ever seen. I've never seen a shot of fireball over $5 and there's was like $10. And not to mention they use poor quality ingredients in there cooking. For a new business it's a terrible start.

Way too expensive for the low quality food. Never seen a restaurant use canned mushrooms before so that was cool I guess. The owner was chill but literally everything is way to expensive even there cheap stuff. The burgers were dry. Ate there 3 times hoping it was just an accident and everytime the burgers were dry and un seasoned.

Best chicken sandwich I have ever had. Nice decorations also
