Dave's Diner - Stratford

Pleasantly surprised by this findI was looking for an inexpensive diner with free wifi and found Dave's.

Love Daves diner. Great food at reasonable prices. I have never had a bad meal or experience here.

You'd expect it to be the other way around as I have found in these little diners in my travels. The food is usually alright while it's the staff that make it worth coming back for. This place is a bit backwards, while the food was above average, the service was sluggish and without enthusiasm. By the time we left we were satisfied but felt like we had somehow inconvenienced the staff

Real homes fries with Dave's secret seasoning. No tater tots here! Fast, friendly service, Actual large coffee mugs with free refills. Eggs are cooked perfect every time. Ample portions and if you are a regular they have a frequent diner card!

Went as a family, the food was great! I was disappointed in the service. My boys both had kids meals which supposedly include ice cream. After finishing our food we waited what seemed likw an eternity to even see our server. We noticed she was standing in the lobby at the cash register the whole time. There was no mention of ice cream and we never got our bill. We had to walk up to the cash register and just pay what was rung in. Not the most professional!
