Foster's Inn - Stratford

Wow what a train wreck! Expected much better!!! Food choices ok, place busy but we waited an hour from the time we sat down to our appetizer. We had mentioned we were attending a performance and were also told another seating was coming at 7:30 so that hour wait rushed US -we were certainly ready to order. Parts of the order missing, sloppy snippy service. Worst of all was finding the sticker from the avocado in the main salad dish!! We were offered only half off the entree. Frankly that was inexcusable and should have come right off the meal as a great deal of it was left. Very sloppy of the kitchen and not correct of the server but had to get to our performance so didn’t pursue it. Cannot recommend this place.

This is a wonderful inn where we have visited about 8 times now while attending the Shakespeare Festival Nice rooms, attentive staff and great restaurant a favorite of locals! The town is a good destination too theatres, shops and restaurant all in walking distance of Fosters. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else!!

The food was fantastic and the staff was very welcoming. The restaurant is conveniently situated beside the Avon Theatre. Overall, it was a delightful experience.

We randomly chose this pub while we were in town for a funeral and not familiar with local restaurants. Our initial interaction with an employee was a bit brusque when we asked to sit outside, but she seemed more friendly by the time we left. Our server, Ryan, was fantastic! He was funny, helpful, provided just the right amount of table service, and was very knowledgeable about the menu. Everyone loved the grilled cheese sandwich, soup, ham cheese sandwich, fries, and mushroom appetizer. The bathrooms were clean as well. Definitely worth a visit, we will definitely return the next time we are in Stratford!

This restaurant was recommended by our AirBnB host, and the restaurant did not disappoint. Good food at a reasonable price, and very friendly and attentive staff. Nice historic interior.
