The Pancake Underground - Strasburg

I would have loved to write a review of this place. It's rated so highly and looks fun and friendly. We went here this past Sunday for breakfast and were asked if we had a reservation (no we didn't, didn't even think about a breakfast reservation). Unfortunately, they were all booked up. The hostess told us that they were closing permanently, which we at first misunderstood as closing for the rest of the holiday weekend. No, they are closing period. We were disappointed that we didn't get to try The Pancake Underground, but thems the breaks.

The food is very good, the chalkboard where the food came from is a good idea. The chicken and waffles are large meal. The atmosphere is a great small town feel. I think this is a must try at least once. They are serving fresh foods from local providers (list in photos).

Unassuming breakfast spot with incredibly tasty vegan grub. I loved The Breakfast Club and my mom enjoyed her potato bowl and cornbread skillet (vegetarian). The plant based bacon was fantastic great smoky flavor and a nice crunch.Please give them a try!

Still thinking about the banana pudding pancakes I had this morning they were that good! Probably the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Absolutely worth the drive out to Strasburg. Also loved the laid back, welcoming vibe.
