It seems reading the other reviews that this is a VERY different place for lunch. We were hoping to stop for a nice birthday lunch on the road and were convinced by the other reviewers to overlook the decor and location and give it a try. We were surprised that it wasn't clean, smelled of grease, and only had diner style burger and sandwich options for lunch. And they were out of many things (including burgers . The food itself was below average diner quality. Quesadillas were just meat and cheese and didn't come with the usual side of salsa, etc, the turkey Reuben was dripping in thousand island and off tasting (reheated meat, maybe? , the side salad was sad lettuce in a plastic tray, and the fruit salad was actually rotten. Service was very friendly but it took maybe an hour to get our food. I can't speak for the dinner (we kept checking the reviews and asking ourselves if this could possibly be the same place but definitely skip this place for lunch. Any diner would be better and there seems to be good sandwich options in town.
We were in from Florida on a weekend getaway to the Shenendoah National Park and stopped in on a Saturday night. Great food and great service put this place on our permanent recommend to others and go to if we are back in town. For us, it was the perfect last dinner for a romantic weekend.
Loved it! We were driving to PA from VA and the reviews for this place enticed us to hop off 81 for the quick 2 mile detour. Husband had soup of the day and the crab cakes; I had the black bean hummus and a working man's filet open faced dish. All was great and so we ordered dessert to take on the road. Go here.
I love dropping in and having breakfast here. Made just like my daddy would make it. Not greasy, or burnt, but just right.
