Stone Ridge Orchard

Lovely spot!I’ve heard about this place, but only just visited when taking a detour. Very calm on a cool spring morning, the produce and goods are all local, prices are very decent, and im sure things can get pretty wild when it pizza season begins!Places like this create the perfect community, and the orchard is the perfect backdrop to a relaxed place to make memories.Thanks!

If I could rate this lower than one star I would, recently went to stone ridge orchard to go through a light show with LUMAGICA… and it was TERRIBLE!There was no effort put into the show what so ever, it was very bad work considering there was extension cords IN puddles when walking by the entrance… what really got me was spending over $100 to bring my family to the light show, and it wasn't handicap accessible in any way so my father couldn’t come with to enjoy it with us..When we asked about a refund for at least his ticket (due to it all being inclines and in NO WAY help for my dad to walk it)They told us they couldn’t give us a refund but that we were welcome to get stuff from their farm stand… when we got there, The FARM STAND WAS FILTHY! Floor looked like it’s never been cleaned …the pie I chose had some mold on it so I had to give it back while still in the store, after it was given to me….overall I see a lot of possible potential, but my overall experience SUCKED!Elizabeth Ryan must have people that don’t know what they are doing, or she don’t know what she is doing, the overall experience with this orchard was terrible..

Not a good place it 's run on the backs of many fueled by other ventures run by unpaid employees the owners own words I have a record of "always looking for an angle of getting out of her obligations she has many faces most of them unkind her labor practices are some what borderline slave with unpaid/late payments to her workers

We went over this weekend with some friends from NYC. We hadn't been there since our kids were very young. The big message here is that it's not just for kids anymore! A short drive around the back of the property, near the orchards reveal a major expansion. We're talking live music, tasting room, food truck, wonderfully boozy cider concoctions! That along with apple and pumpkin picking and some delightful alpacas. Looks like they have a big winter fest planned too. Great place to check out for leaf peeping! The only thing that would help is better organization of their signs. It's a bit confusing, but don't let that stop you!

This was a bit of a miss, and I'm unsure if I should've done more research or what. I discovered Breezy Hill at the NYC Grows Wednesday and Saturday tent at Union Square. It was initially the sugar-free cookie that drew me in. The PERFECT cookie and when they stopped selling I went with the carrot and raisin, which is amazing. I had a day to kill and drove up to the Breezy Hill orchard, only to get there and learn there aren't direct sales done there and the retail place is about 45 minutes on the other side of the Hudson. Fair enough, so i drive to Stone Ridge, and I just felt let down by the offerings. No cookies, the produce was okay and the plums were amazing but not much of a variety to pick from. None of the donuts that are at the tent in the city either. Bummed cause I figured I was making my way to the Mecca of Breezy Hill, where the best of the best was, but that wasn't the case. I still visit the tent and grab about 5 carrot cookies once a month or so, I think that's enough.
