Bidrage med feedbackThis was our second time dining at Spiaggetta and once again, this place DID NOT disappoint. From the service, appetizer and entrees, everything was delicious! If you're an old school Italian, the trippe was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Marco's mother makes the dish and you can absolutely appreciate the taste of a homemade meal.
We always enjoy our time at Spiaggetta and make it a point to dine there every time we come to Stone Harbor/Avalon it has become a first dinner at the Shore tradition for our family! Our children have loved the kids' spaghetti and meatballs since they were in highchairs and have now graduated to enjoy the adult entrees such as the Pappalina with scrumptious homemade pasta, and we all enjoy the fried calamari which is crispy and served with a zesty marinara. My husband and I always share a seasonal appetizer this week, it was a foccacia board with burrata and grilled peaches, and then, I tried the Norcina, which I had not had before, whereas he tried the Sunday Gravy. Both were absolutely delicious! I have also always enjoyed the Roman classic Cacio e Pepe, which is a tried and true staple. The staff is always prompt and attentive, and the ambience is peaceful and down to Earth. It's a dressier place than most Shore restaurants, but sundress and collared shirt dressy, not jacket and tie. We cannot recommend it enough!
We were greeted by the owner which makes you feel good as a guest and just about insures a quality restaurant. Service was terrific and menu choices abundant. Our salads were sized for 2, the greens fresh and the dressing was homemade. Pastas were all good including orichiette, bucatini and spaghetti with various sauces. Can't say enough for the restaurant. If you want real Italian food look no further.
Our waitress didn't seem to be giving us the kind of service we'd expect in a restaurant of your caliber. The water was plopped down on the table and she didn't offer to pour it and walked away. We brought OOB of wine and she said,” there are your wine glasses” and walked away. I had to ask for an ice bucket. The man who I assume is the owner passed by our table twice as he was checking on the other patrons. Were we not dressed quite as well? I don't know! On a good note, the girls greeting us were delightful and the food was excellent
Solid Italian place in SH. Food was fair to good, service was very good. BYOB which is nice. I think we would try other places before we would go back. But we'd be happy enough if we ended up here again.
