Bidrage med feedbackThe food at this restaurant is delicious, especially the homemade chips. The kids menu offers great value for only £2.00 with a variety of options. Whenever my aunt visits from Winchester, we always go here. Sam and Jane work hard and the whole family loves this place for its yummy food.
Having worked in Hanley for 20 years, I've eaten at most places on multiple occasions. I pop here a few times a year for a traditional meal or an all day breakfast. Friendly staff. Good portion size. Today I ordered the home made cheese and potato pie, chips and beans for £4.50. The place was busy, and I only gave myself 30 minutes. With the end of my lunch hour approaching, I asked if I could have my lunch to take away. It was still in the oven. No pinging it in the microwave there. So what happened? They insisted on bringing it to my place of work the other end of Hanley. Piping hot and delicious.
I confess to being an occasional regular here meaning I go two or three times a month. Stick to the all day breakfast or a pair of oatcakes and you won't go far wrong. The layout is a bit tatty but clean and there are a bunch of daily regulars who come to eat, dawdle and yacker away. You get change from £5 for a pair of oatcakes and a milky coffee not bad. And you can use the Wi Fi of the rather posher restaurant over the road.
I had the roast of the day. It came with 1 roast potato and 3 boiled potatoes (yuck . This ratio must be a British tradition. lol. Would have preferred the reverse ratio (i.e. 3 roast potatoes and one boiled (if any . Also came with boiled cabbage (another yuck . Fortunately the peas weren 't mushy (just boiled .
The food at Munchies is a great value for the price. The staff is very friendly and always make you feel welcome. It's definitely worth a visit.
