Greyhound Inn - Stoke-on-Trent

Everything today was wrong, and it's left a bad feeling. Was put in bar rather than restaurant along with those who were in for a drink (with dog) that's what the bar is for we should've been in the restaurant. Clearly this was due to overbooking as service was also extremely slow. No mention when booked we were being put in the bar, no tables set, had to to ask for menus, had to ask for cutlery on two different occasions, no condiments.... Had to chase for drinks... The list could go on!Meals were also average, again likely due to being overbooked.Been many times before and would've always recommended, however, I'm sorry to say, unfortunately we now won't be going back after this experience, and will find it hard to recommend this now.This is no reflection on the waiting staff who did everything they could and I really hope the whole tip went to them, as they're the only two people that truly deserve this after today's visit.

I came here for my sons birthday last night the food servuce was shocking 1 n half hour wait all the mixed grikls were over cooked to the point you couldnt put your knife into it the lady who cooked it admitted it was dry my dad never touched his meal my brothers meal was shicking also and my meat was dusgustingly chewy the pepper sauce was given out in a pot with a teaspoon portion i was offered 10 percent off the meals what wasnt ate which was 1 pound 70 which i thort was terrible when the foid never got ate the lady had real bad attitude and stiill thort it was ok to serve food that bad and because we ate 1 sausage and 1 egg it was still ok to charge us near enough full price DISGUSTING

Very disappointed service was disssatisfying carnt even cook a Yorkshire pudding

We had a lovely starter and main, all piping hot and tasty. Excellent service

Really nice restaurant. Ordered 2 sirloin steaks, only issue was asked for medium but came well done. Great service, friendly staff. Will visit again
