Martin's Craft Bakery - Stockport

Ordered several sandwiches and sausage rolls to take away. Order came to just over £9 staff refused to take Clydesdale Bank £10 note with the reason offered being we don 't accept paper money!!!! Absolute LIES person before me paid with English bank note with no issue. They are clearly using this to avoid the Scottish bank note issue. Their loss on this occasion and for any future trips. They are the ONLY shop in the area where this has been an issue I hope the management has the guts to reply to this but somehow I doubt if they will. Our relatives who live in the area will also now be taking their business elsewhere.

I live on the Moor so Martins is my choice for Hovis bread which is sliced on the premises. A good selection ion of breads; excellent hot meat pies cheese spinach pasties. We love the Bavarian slices but sometimes they run out early on a Saturday. Staff always helpful, polite cheerful.

Good choice of sandwiches, cakes, pies and pasties. Staff are generally helpful and the fresh made sandwiches are delicious.

A dependable local bakery with products prepared on-site. They have a range of cakes, bread, pastries, and sandwiches. A refrigerator provides additional options, like salads. I think they do soup as well, for the lunchtime crowd. I have often gone along for a sandwich, sausage roll or a vanilla slice. Friendly staff. Fair pricing.

Good herby sausages and tasty well-done bacon are my breakfast choice here, whilst the steak pasties are a good option at lunch time. The strawberry tarts are excellent as a treat!
