Bidrage med feedbackThe Woodhouse is a welcoming, friendly place and we are always happy to take our dog as they are SO doggy friendly. Staff always make a fuss of our dog and bring water and treats. We usually buy a sausage for our dog as well. We were there today and they were just as friendly as ever, lots of Well Behaved ! dogs around us and were great when our dog knocked over his water bowl. Food delicious and reasonably priced. We’ll be back! Again
Wife and I stopped off for a bite of lunch on way to Campsie Glen Caravan Park. Tuna and beetroot sandwich amazing . Wife popped in to order and a few items from the shop, I stayed in the car as we had managed to park in the car park with the caravan, still allowing cars in and out to move round us. Will definitely be back for another visit
Visited as a family with our dogs. We come here as it is supposed to be a dog friendly establishment. It is not dog friendly, they are dog tolerant as long as the dog's don't bark. For your reference, our dogs barked and we corrected them, but other dog's also barked as they come into the area we were sitting. Did you address this with their owners? I found your handing of the situation appauling! To come up to us in full view of other customers and tell us you will put us outside to finish our food if we don't stop the dogs barking rude and unnecessary. You have a lot to learn about creating a dog friendly establishment. If you want to cash in on being a dog friendly cafe, you need to demonstrate more tolerance it's as simple as that! You could learn a lot from the Liz MacGregor Cafe in Aberfoyle who fully embrace the dog friendly experience and I have no doubt are reaping the rewards for this. Now the food, as nice as it was, £47 for 3 toasties, a tea and 3 coffees is a bit steep. We will never return to The Woodhouse based on this experience and I would suggest those with dogs to consider elsewhere as they are only just dog tolerant if you pets makes no noise.
Been meaning to go in here for a while. Stopped for a breakfast roll on the way to Dundee this morning. Kind of kicking ourselves for not doing this sooner. My wife had a roll on linked sausage and I had the Daddy’s Breakfast roll and since we live in England ordered an extra potato scone in case we never see them again. The food was first class, the highlight being the black pudding. Top marks for using real bacon with the rind on. Staff were friendly and personable. All this is combined with excellent value for money. It’s a no brainer and a great wee place. Thank you.
Usually visit a couple of times a year when out for a drive, we were there today and as usual attention was spot on and food excellent, i first visited before it was enlarged and enjoyed it then so keep going back. Having the butcher shop etc attached is a win win for me.
