Bidrage med feedbackWe’ve been there 4 times. Each and every time we were very well served. The food is great, the staff is great, the view is good and the prices are well balanced. The best choice for the entire Stintino area. Don’t be fooled by the location. This is a great restaurant to be. Remember that pizzas are only served at dinner.
Very good reviews apparently, but not for foodies. Pizza might be good however. The site can best be reached by car, on top a gas station.
We decided to walk to this restaurant. It was already dark, the streets were not lit, so we almost turned around. Thankfully we didn’t. While the area is sketchy and the restaurant is literally located on the top of a gas station, the food didn’t disappoint. We have been traveling in Italy for about a week now and we craved a good tuna steak. We ordered that dish in many restaurants but our experience was quite mediocre to say the least. Not this time. Our tuna was perfectly cooked and it was delicious. The service was slow but very personable. And the Panna Cotta with caramel was the best I have ever had. We highly recommend this place.
We went to the restaurant for dinner due to the high rating found in a well-known search browser. We got a table with no problem. The service was quick and the food was amazing, no doubt about that. Probably the best sea food risotto I have ever had, not exaggerating! But... At the end we could not finish the food due to a foot injury I have had, so we had to leave rather quickly. So, we asked a waitress in Italian if we could take the rest of the food to go. She said yes. 3 times! Cause there were three different parts, the rest of my son’s dinner, salad, and a half of a rather pricey fish dish (which was lovely, but I had to rush home to get painkillers). Anyway, we waited after having paid the bill for a while wondering where the doggy bags are, normally they should have been there quickly. So eventually I asked my friend to go ask. And then the staff said they “forgot”. We asked the person at the till, one waitress and eventually the waitress who said “yes” to takeaway 3 times! And she was telling us what we told her did not mean “to go”, which is blatantly not true. I go to Italy 3-4 times a year, at least, I have a decent understanding of the language and I sure do know how to say “Can I please have whatever is left to go”. And she told us what we said was just to take it away...which would have been rather strange, cause we asked if WE could have it to take away, not just “could you take it away”.. “To take away” in Italian is “da portare via”. Not ONCE there has been a misunderstanding, not once, during all my travels in any parts of Italy, including Sardinia. And here, the waitress told us, we should have added “a casa” to it, meaning “home”. Which I have never used or heard, ever, used after “take away”. I mean, they could have forgotten it, it happens, we are all human. But saying we said it wrong? No way! The food is lovely, highly recommended, but the end of the evening was very disappointing and rather annoying, to be quite honest. We are staying in Stintino longer but I will personally not go back, even for the best risotto ever. So, if you do go there, make sure you finish what you order!
We went there to try local cuisine. The choice on the menu was quite limited for vegetarians. Horse meat on the menu. The ambience not so good. Pizza served not in early afternoon. Not a budget place.
