Bidrage med feedbackBest new restaurant in Steinbach!. I ate lunch here yesterday with a few co-workers and we were extremely glad we had made a reservation and pre-ordered our food because all the tables were full and there were about twenty people waiting in line to order. The restaurant's popularity is of no surprise since it recently returned to Steinbach after a few years away.<br/ <br/ I had a small original chicken doener, a bowl of flavourful chicken noodle soup, and a melt-in-your-mouth crepe oozing with Nutella and strawberries. everything tasted fantastic and was well-priced. I definitely didn't leave there still feeling hungry! One of the owners was looking after our table and he was friendly and helpful in every aspect, making sure our food came out quickly and answering any questions that we had.<br/ <br/ Keep up the good word! Looking forward to dining here again!
Devoured my meal in 5 mins. Soooo good! Great new location and open atmosphere. In the words of Arnold 'I 'll be back! '
Desserts R Us. I'm not a big dessert orderer, but Doener's is one of the few places that wanders through my mind on those rare occasions when I want cake. I also enjoy their spaetzle and their spaghetti. I found their Steinbach location to be more aesthetically pleasing and was sad to see them leave the downtown location. I've only been at the new location once. If you want a nice, light, poppyseed cake or something richer, Doener's is a good choice.
Great Food, Great Prices. They are now located in Mitchell, about 7 minutes out of Steinbach. Definitely worth the tiny drive.<br/ <br/ For Soups I recommend the cabbage Borscht. I ask for tzatziki sauce in it, and side of crackers. The cheese soup is also very yummy. The chicken noodle soup is a very European version that's not my favorite.<br/ <br/ Doener always tastes great, chicken or beef (plus lettuce, onion, tomato, and in house made tzatziki that's super yummy). All in a soft yet crispy yummy pita. I don't like onions, so I have them left out. Can't go wrong on this.<br/ <br/ Spaetzle yummy German noodles with a chicken mushroom sauce<br/ <br/ CAKE !! Oh my, German cake heaven. The Cappuccino Mousse Cake and Prince Torte are my favorite, but they have tons of fruity options, chocolatey options and everything in between. Definitely worth an afternoon pick me up dessert visit. Cakes are not overwhelmingly sweet, just perfectly amazing. Enjoy with coffee, cappuccino, mocha, or hot chocolate.
Tasty. This is the type of place where you walk in, order at the desk and then sit down and they bring it to you. there are only a few things available on the menu, but all looked very good. We tried a chicken doener and it was super good! i would go back just for that. We also tried the chicken noodle soup. i regret not trying the borscht or the cheese soup instead...the chicken noodle was noodles and chicken stock, with a few tiny pieces of chicken and some oil...maybe this is the norm in germany, but for over 4$ a bowl, i would have liked to see some vegetables in the bowl. If you are going through Mitchel, i would definately recommend it, just for the doener's!
