Horrible food, to be avoided like the plague. Frozen fish and seafood if not worse. Squid, prawns and prawns hard as stones. After pointing this out we were treated very badly with shouts and rudeness both from the bearded waiter (son) and from the mother cook (she must have had experience in some prison). The food at Maria's tavern is beyond real. It is more like a day-dream from the childhood when your grandmother was cooking and all the family was together around a table. The tastes, the plates, the atmosphere... I fell in love with it and my only regret is that we weren't able to reserve tables for 2 nights as it is always full.
