Super good Italian restaurant outside of the normal pedestrian walkways. The staff was very friendly and tried hard in English to satisfy our hunger! The rigatoni al for no was excellent! Very good prices. Very yummy and satisfying!
According to German standards were relatively late, but all employees were treated very well. Very pleasant cold beers, excellent pork and pizzas. Recommended.
Go to the Castello because we were looking for a place to eat pizza nearby. Since the other place had terrible reviews in Staufen, of course we came here. The interior is simply typical German, as there is nothing special here. This place could be mexican, german, spanish, Greek, whatever the food is, and you would not see any difference when going in. Don't be too surprised. Service was really nice. The Italian waiter tried to make us welcome. Nice touch. Now the food/pizza would have been very nice if they simply would not do it on a pastry leaf (my guess), since the pizza was somehow wet inside and the dough did not well. However, the taste was very good and therefore I would say that if they baked the pizza, this could be a potential 4-star place.
Eine Pizza Parma stelle ich mir wie folgt vor: krosser Boden, aromatische Tomatensauce, Mozzarella, Parmaschinken, Rucola, Parmesan. Wobei die letzten drei Zutaten erst NACH der Verweildauer im Ofen auf die Pizza kommen sollten.Bei "Vista al Castello" in Staufen wird die Pizza leider nicht auf Stein gebacken. Dadurch ist der Boden schon mal recht langweilig und leicht matschig. Der Parmaschinken (aus der Billig-Packung von Aldi - der Optik nach zu urteilen...?!) wird leider vor dem Backen auf den Teig gelegt. An Rucola und Parmesan kann man zum Glück nicht all zu viel falsch machen.Unterm Strich eine miserable Pizza, die schwer im Magen liegt und mich den kommenden Tag auch noch begleitet hat...
