Bidrage med feedbackI hope it was just one night, but it was my first time, and I can't say I was overly impressed. it was 30 minutes before closing so that maybe everyone was ready to call it a night. there were 4 or 5 tables when we arrived. we ordered a gurkenrolle for my appetizer. actually it was my favorite part of the meal. In addition, we ordered a special sushi roll for my brother and I ordered filet mignon and garnelen hibachi for my meal we wanted to share. the salat was served first and then the suppe with the app directly after. all were acceptable and understandable. my dinner was served and shortly after that my brother dinner arrived at the table. he loved it! As for my meal, the salate was good. I love ingwer dressing. suppe was suppe, what can you say about broth with a little swirl and mushroom? the hibachi plate was nicely served. presentation is always a plus in my book. the taste was missing, however. the sweet was delicious. crescent, colorful and had a good taste. the fried rice was also quite good as soon as I added some salt and pepper and garnel sauce. the filet was tender, but tasted in a round, even after adding a good piece of salt and pepper. the garnel had no taste other than the garnel sauce in which I slept. what I was disappointed was the server. I had to ask for everything. fork, serviette, garnel sauce and even a little soy sauce for my roll. I eat Japanese eat a good piece and you usually bring it to the mere minimum, ask if you want something from it. I even had to ask for a few tellers so that we didn't have to eat dinner from the same. we were maybe 1/2-way through our meal times and he came up to the table and asked if we wanted to put it down. I asked to go a little box and go a cup. he first asked what kind of box. I recommended something to bring the rest of the food to the house. then he asked what a cup. I replied to pouring the rest of my tees to take with me. these ask of him have broken my mind. I would have thought it was obvious and a fairly popular question. When he came back to the table, he coughed it and told me mine was here. he then sat down the cups and lids and advised us that they were actually cups and lids. Thankfully he did it or I didn't know what those were! I told him you can bring it. it wasn't obvious that I was with my brother. we were just a few that had dinner. I say that because he threw my head again when he asked if we wanted to separate controls. would we have agreed or married, had we both paid off? ? I recommended a scary one. he was obviously ready to go for us and I felt very hastily. I had the soup bowl, salat bowl, cast roll plate and saucer stacked at the ranch of the table. not even when he asked if we wanted to make it, he took away the dirty dishes. as soon as he left the deck, again empty hand, he passed a few times, almost broke his neck to see if we cash or a card still. We didn't. we've eaten our food. I finally told him to get it. He never asked how it was. he assumed we didn't want to dessert and had no desire to offer. it was clear that he was only willing to pay our rider and go. I've been working in the food industry for over 30 years. I'm in the really very covered and cut a lot, but on the flip side of it, I also know how good service should be. my normal tipp is 25% and much higher for good service. I just left $5 to $35 and I felt bad because I had left such a lousy tipp. but if I receive sub par service, I will not reward this service with a generous tipp. almost 20% were more than he earned honestly.
Can't go wrong with gyoza and sushi from here! Very much enjoy the variety of rolls they have to choose from. Also, very good and quick with take out orders.Follow @southerngeorgiaeats on instagram for more good eats! ?
!!!! WORST RESTAURANT IN STATESBORO !!!! Tokyo is one of the worst restaurant in Statesboro and should be shut down NOW . I 've been to Tokyo many times and have witnessed some of the most disgusting things. these are things I have seen with my own eyes so believe it or not. The whole restaurant is crawling with roaches , don 't think that your food was handle with cleaniessness . In the past couple of months , they have raised their prices and have been serving less food. I was told that the 'steak ' and filet is just BEEF cut into different shapes, they tell people that its steak and fillet and charge them more for it. GOD FORBID that they mess your order up bc they won 't give you a refund at all the best your going to get is 20% off which is basically a couple dollars off. The shrimp sauce .... is always expired if you go and that shrimp sauce is bubbly and you actually see it rise its because its EXPIRED!!!!!!!!! I feel for the waitresses I heard their conversations here and there and they were talking about how they have too pay the owners if the drawer is short , if their tables don 't want to pay for their food usually bc there is something wrong with it the servers have to pay it, and many other DISGUSTING acts by the owners. the last straw for me is the spring rolls I ordered some for my niece who is only a toddler and also super allergic to octopus and squid and lord and behold their spring rolls have octopus and squid. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE BASICALLY VEGAN NO ANIMAL MEAT !!!!! thank god I noticed them in mine before I gave them to her. I also called but in the end I was talking to a brick wall because they couldn 't do anything BULLLLL . THEY NEED TO BE SHUTDOWN!!!!!!!
Food was delicious. The hot saki was the best ever tasted!Beautiful inside and out. Looove this place!
I had the firecracker sushi and hibatchi filet mignon and shrimp. This food is incredible. I’m half way done eating it, and I had to stop and give a review. Service was great, I enjoyed the old music, atmosphere, everything. I live 30 minutes away but I’ll be driving out here more often. Good job, keep it up!
