Montalbano's - Staten Island

Your typical Italian market with tons of freshly cooked dishes, wide choice of meat and vegetables, and especially your typical food chain items. Prices are a little higher, then shoprite or other popular food chains, but for the most part you get fresh quality food.

I work near the place and we send our coffeemaker to lunch every day. The food is usually decent, but today I was extremely disappointed with my lunch order. I ordered cavatelli with wurst and Broccoli rabe, but it only had a small piece of sausage and a few pieces of broccoli rabe with mostly pasta. When I called to complain, all I got was a dismissive response. I spend $50 a week at this place, not to mention what my colleagues spend. I will not be buying from here anymore. The fact that they didn't even bother to call me back is unacceptable. Staten Island has many great food options, and this place is definitely not one of them. Did I just burn $10 today?

The customer service, food quality, and overall experience at this restaurant are outstanding. Cosimo and Fabio consistently go above and beyond to provide exceptional service.

Excellent sandwich and fresh mozzarella cheese was amazing. Salad ? was also fresh and crisp. Rice balls were delicious too. I'll be back again soon.

Can?t ask for a better neighborhood butcher. They do it all. I?ve orders Filet Mignon from them for holiday parties that was top quality to everyday cold cuts for lunch sandwiches. They have also come through with fantastic catering for our parties. Pat and Cosmo and the crew offer great service and know their customers by name.
