Killmeyer's Old Bavaria Inn

What a fantastic place. They had several German beers on tap which were all amazing. The menu great the two other people I was with enjoyed their meal as much as I did. One is from Long Island and requested we go back again tonight before he leaves.

Great selection of German food. Nice old style decor. Band on fridays. Holiday drinks.

This place is a GEM. The bar is a stunning relic built in 1890 with custom antique refrigerators and beautiful tin ceilings. I have always loved coming here However the last few times the food has really improved. I had to ask if there was someone new in the kitchen and apparently they do have some new talented hands in the Kitchen from another German Bierhaus that recently shut its doors. I will say, Kilmeyer’s could serve my fiancé and I a fried shoe and we’d still be back. We love the beer Whoever puts together the beer list knows what they are doing the best one I have had so far’s name escapes me but they have been serving it for 25 years. We also love a place so authentically and unapologetically itself. I hope it never closes it’s doors.

Barely edible. The waitress never checked on how the appetizer was during . Walked by and picked up my app plate without a word. It was decent so fine The main course veal schnitzel came with an unedible pile of mush noodles that tasted like yesterday ramen. The schnitzel itssef was barely edible and i was hoping to drown it in mashed potatoes figuring they arent making things to order anyway, and how bad could that be but she never came back so i choked them down after a while and after 15 min she finally decided to stop by to collect my plate again without inquiry of how the food was. I guess she knows it's terrible and i got my check. Barely made it to the front door before my stomach sent me to the bathroom to reject what i was hoping would at least count as calories

Delicious. Highly recommend the jumbo pretzel with beer cheese and the chicken schnitzel. The restaurant was absolutely empty. One other table for two was filled. Shocking for a Friday evening. People began showing up around 9pm. The live music was enjoyable. Our server was more than happy to allow any substitutions for sides included with our entrees.
