Straw Hat Pizza - Stateline

While staying at Harvey's in Lake Tahoe, I usually grab a pizza here at Straw Hat. This pizza is much better than the food court type pizza like over at Harrah's, it's cooked fresh made to order. The restaurant is right inside the casino so if you are gambling it is super convenient. Also it is steps away from the door if you are just coming in for a bite. Plenty of seating and sports tv's all around, along with a full bar. The pizza as I mentioned is actually really good. I love that they throw on lots of cheese. It ends up coming out all gooey and delicious. Sort of a thin crust and good amount of toppings make it just right. I got a salad bar too which is nice. You can pile up all the veggies and salad toppings to balance the pizza out. After a long nite of dancing at Artie's we were starving and Straw Hat was still open at 12:30am. It was awesome to have some good hot pizza at that hour and fresh. I've been coming here for years and somethings don't change. And in Straw Hat's case it's a good thing.

This used to be the hotel coffee shop and is now trying to be more of a hip sports bar. We had a chicken pesto sandwich here with tater tots and it was hot and tasty and filling. The atmosphere consists of a bar, with bar stool seating, tables, and booths, and rows of flat screen TVs broadcasting sports events. Friendly fast service.

We had lunch here on a Monday. We were looking for a buffet but they are closed on weekdays so we ended up here. You go up front at the counter, order your food and drinks. The drinks are self served while you get a number for your food order. We ordered an all meat pizza, I forgot what it was called and combination pizza. The meat pizza had way too much sausage compared to other toppings. The combination pizza had a disproportionate amount of olives. They were good but nothing great. We also ordered chicken wings. The wings are tiny pieces but they were good, better than the actual pizza's. The service was okay, they checked on us a couple of times.

Pizza was so plain and didn't have much flavor to it. Chicken weren't marinated, just chopped up in pieces and sprinkled on top of the pizza. For the price, totally not worth over $20.xx for a medium. On another hand, The salad bar for $6.99 was fairly decent. Good selection and veggies were fresh

This is located in the casino and we weren't expecting much. However to our surprise the service went above and beyond. Very helpful in helping us select what we should eat. The breakfast burrito was amazing and huge. Could feed 2!
