Bruen's - Stanton

Breakfast Sat-Sept 22. Dad and I had breakfast. I had rejected this restaurant the night before because of the appearance of the place. Later I came to the urban spoon and decided it was safe. Breakfast was hot, predictable and tasteful. The staff is obviously family, mostly small old ladies between 65 and 90 . This is a cash or only check business. Bruen is definitely a hole in the wall, on the outside and inside. Bruen 's is obviously a historical main attitude of this community and family 's depend on the great staff for fresh hot meals. Don't be fooled by the apparitions, try. There are not many ways in town to eat next to fast food. I'd go back to Bruen!

Cheeseburger Near Paradise. Don't forget to try their freshly baked cakes... that's if you have any room at all. I personally like her cheeseburgers. The value for dollars is excellent: two great cheeseburgers for $4.25 (including taxes), pages are à la carte. Remember, this is a fat spoon, so do not expect health food. Definitely a comfort food stop, so save your calories, especially after a strenuous hike in the Red River Gorge (Paradise) and enjoy! Sorry Jimmy Buffett.

Bruen's restaurant. I have eaten at least 10 times in Bruen in the last 10 months and I really like it. It's really delicious home cooking. I didn't try anything I didn't like and I always feel extremely full. Although it would be hard to select my favorite product, I would have to say that both ribeye sandwich and fried chicken are on the list. The side salads are always fresh and tasty. I've never been there when there was no crowd, so parking can be a problem. I had to drive away twice because I couldn't find a parking lot. The dessert menu looks delicious, but I am too full of lunch to enjoy the sweets.... maybe one day I will order dessert first! As long as I travel to Stanton, I will return to Bruen for lunch. Absolutely amazing we loved the look the atmosphere and best of all the food. First time going and we will be back. Great little hole in the wall with home cooked food like granny makes. Don't change a thing...
