Had only one afternoon tee with my daughter, who gave me there for a Christmas gift, beautiful environment, had a very delicious 2 curs tee, personal was very friendly, would recommend it and will be definately back. thank you.

My husband and I got married here on the 8th of April 2017, it was by far the best day of our lives and Ballathie was a huge part of the reason why. We 'd chosen this venue 2 years previously after we fell in love with the location, scenery and unique homely feel of the hotel. It may seem 'dated ' to some, but to us the old world feel was the biggest draw. We loved the quirky interior, the comfy chairs, the warming fire places, the beautiful art on walls and the wood detail throughout every room. We stayed in the Bridal Suite (Room 10 Inverness) for the first 2 nights it was comfortable, spacious and the bathroom was beautiful. It is river facing so our views were perfect. On our 3rd night, we changed to room 6 'Moray ' equally as spacious, bright and the bed was super comfy! As we are massive foodies, one of our main reasons for choosing Ballathie for our venue was the food. The kitchen team, led by Scott Scorer, have won several awards and they deserve every single one of them. We 'd been for lunch a few times over the 2 years prior to the wedding each time we were never disappointed. Although we didn 't have the opportunity to sample the wedding breakfast it was faultless. They went above and beyond for our guests who had allergies including one who had to have a completely different menu altogether. From what we could see, every plate was empty! Even the room service was fantastic both breakfast and lunch served on beautiful wooden trays and covered with silver cloches! However, the best thing about this hotel is the team. Gail was a massive support to my husband and I during our planning stages. She was prompt in her responses over email on occasion replying well outwith 'opening hours '. She would greet us on every visit with a massive smile on her face and nothing was too much to ask. Jalal never will you meet a happier person in all your life. He was so attentive, making sure every aspect of our day went smoothly and ensuring our stay was perfect. He was interested in you as a person, spending time chatting and getting to know you and to both me and my husband, this meant a great deal. The food and beveridge team; Evita, Fiona, Barry, Alistair, Imre, Marius and Rachael were so efficient and clearly love what they do which made our day so special. Morag, Rachael and Veronika at reception were fantastic. They welcomed both us and our guests with warming smiles and ensured rooms were ready on time. The housekeeping staff got our room cleaned so quickly on the Sunday that we were able to switch rooms without any drama and the turn down service was fantastic and such a nice treat. We cannot thank the team at Ballathie enough for everything they did for us and how they made our day so special. We have no regrets choosing this beautiful hotel and cannot wait to visit again next year for our 1st year anniversary!

Just back from having a lovely afternoon tea . Service and food was wonderful. Highly recommended.
