The Black Lion Pub

Outstanding value for money at £60-70 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive top marks at this restaurant. We highly recommend trying the large Yorkshire Pudding dish.

I can't understand why this place has so many reviews in recent years. I have walked by it multiple times and have never seen it open until today. When we arrived, the outside of Black Lion looked messy and in need of an update. The staff, including a waitress, another lady, and a man, did not greet us or even acknowledge our presence. I felt so uncomfortable that I had my husband order our drinks. However, we were informed that they wouldn't be opening for another half an hour. It would have been nice to see their opening times posted or at least receive a friendly greeting. Despite the lack of hospitality, the waitress was diligently cleaning the same table. It seems like the Black Lion could improve its business and customer service practices.
