Had a very unpleasant lunch in this caffe with my daughter. the servant didn't even try to be friendly from the beginning. when I ordered the fitness board with huhn with a mistake, while they only have it with kalb on the...Menue, I was monolized by an over-long over it a caffe and not a reastaurant and not offer what the customers want. So we ordered the kalbs and the spaghetti with cheese. Unfortunately, the spaghetti were not freshly cooked, but obviously heated, which they taste accordingly, more like a cellulosic than real food. Moreover, the cheese was really and obviously stinking as it was not properly stored so that a 4-year-old who can eat spaghetti with parmesan can be rejected 3 times a day to touch them. I tried and was very close to spiting it out. Nevertheless, remembering that the dame was unhappy with us from the beginning, we did not complain. when we were asked why the child did not eat spaghetti, we honestly replied that the cheese smells strange and we did not like it. what a mistake! then followed a proposition about cheese always smells, they need to know that! this is like a cheese etc. etc. the last akkordeon of the lunch was that we pay and still say that we thank us very much and the dame that turns them back to us and with money without a stupid sight of thank you back. rather than being very rare in the Swiss, and I am still not clear whether the waitress was generally unfriendly or xenophobic. I didn't see them talking to the Swiss customers and not sure whether they had in the ground probleme with us, as well as their classic German (not Swiss German) was not particularly good and she didn't seem to fully understand what I asked them.
Had a very unpleasant lunch at this cafe with my daughter. The service lady did not even try to be friendly right from the beginning. When by a mistake I ordered the fitness plate with chicken, whereas they only have it with veal on the menue, I was pushed back by an overlong monologue about them being a cafe and not a reastaurant and not offering whatever the customers want... So we did order the veal and the spaghetti with cheese. Unfortunately the spaghetti were served not freshly cooked but obviously warmed up, which made them taste accordingly, more like a cellulose than real food. Additionally, the cheese was really and obviously stinking the way as it was not stored properly, so that a 4-year-old that can eat spaghetti with parmesan 3 times a day rejected to touch them. I tried myself and was really close to spit it out. Nevertheless, remembering that the lady was unhappy with us right from the beginning, we did not complain. However, when we were asked why the kid did not eat spaghetti, we honestly answered that the cheese smells strange and we did not like it. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! This was followed up by a lecture about "Cheese does always smell, you have to know that! This is how a cheese is etc etc etc" The final accord of the lunch was us paying and still saying thank you very much and the lady turning her back to us and leaving with money without even a silght sight of thank you back....Rather very seldom situation in Switzerland and I am still not clear whether the waitress was generally unfriendly or xenophobic..... I did not see her speaking this way to the Swiss customers and not sure if she basically had issues with us as also her classical German (not Swiss German) was not particularly good and she seemed to be not fully understanding what I asked her for....
