Favorite sushi place around!! Have been a handful of times now and enjoy it every time! Service is always great.

The food was delicious except the shrimp tempura. They do not clean their shrimp well. I ordered chicken teriyaki, spicy california roll, and my mom ordered shrimp tempura and miso soup. Wish they had longer hours.

As noted in previous comments, it would be great if they could decide when they truly close. If you are open until 9:00 or last seating is 8:30? why ice out customers who arrive at 8:15 as we did? We had just driven from out of state through a tough bit of weather for a funeral the next day. It was a Saturday night, and looking for a restaurant in walking distance, headed to Shema. We were glared at when we walked in sat at a four top, and then told by the server (who was actually really nice) that they were out of all soup including miso, all noodles, and the Sushi bar was closing up in 10 minutes. It was not at all busy. We left, walked around the corner, and had an amazing dinner at a restaurant that took great care of us. With other great choices in Rochester so many great restaurants! it’s a shame they treat potential customers this way.
