Bidrage med feedbackStopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We'd driven past several times before and were curious as to why there never seemed to be much traffic in their lot. It was busy today, though! As soon as we stepped in the door, there was a line of people waiting to order at the single cash register; apparently, a Harley group had stopped in and the restaurant's not really set up to handle sudden crowds. The foyer is very small, so we squeezed in and waited about eight minutes to order. We ordered the ham sandwich and brisket plate. 28 minutes to prepare while we waited for a table to open up (seats 40-50). The ham sandwich had generous slabs of juicy ham on it that would have accepted a nice slice of smoked cheddar if they offered it. The brisket was a bit dry and I was glad we ordered sauce on the side since it was rather ketchupy. The beans were OK, but not very smoky or savory. The potato salad didn't know what it wanted to be since it looked like a creamy style but came at you like a vinaigrette. Anyhow, our experience was somewhat mixed.
Great food. Love these simple places. Plastic silver but the food expectations was amazing. The Bbq sauce had to buy a bottle it was the bomb says my fiancée Joe Wright Wheelchair accessibility: My mother didn’t have any problems
The food was delicious! Great little place to stop on a road trip!
Promise.Best dang BBQ on I -44. I always get the whole chicken. Parking: Easy on easy off
Food was made to order, the brisket and pork were flavorful and not dry. Ribs were great, wish they had been more meaty! Tangy bbq sauce and their pickles- garlicky and sour! The beans were really good, they tasted sweet and went well with the meat. Place is in an old building but it adds to the atmosphere.
