Fresco's Waterfront Bistro

This week our good friends invited us on a boating excursion of Tampa Bay. What a treat! The day was picture perfect, the Bay was relatively calm, and we were wise enough to go midweek and avoid the crowds. We ended up in St. Pete at Frescos and if you've never docked at a marina and hopped out of the boat onto the pier you are definitely missing something. I felt positively jaunty. There's even a special boat parking meter who knew?

Food was delicious. I had a Lobster salad that was a special for the day. The salad contained fresh crisp veggies such as lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, red onion, and orange slices. The lobster melted in my mouth. It was fantastic. My husband ate the fish entree. I can't remember the name of the fish. It was a type that I had never heard of but it was white, flakey and very tasty. No fishy flavor. We also got the mussels as an app. The warm bread offered with your meal was perfect to soak up the savory broth the mussels were cooked in. Give it a try.

Snack in the afternoon. After walking around downtown and seeing the sights (hey, I was on vacation! my friend and I opted to go in from the heat for an iced tea. Turned out appetizers were half priced so... we had a really good pizza app. The service was good, the view nice, entertained by a bird on the deck who was trying to steal food while pictures were being taken. Made us laugh! Truly enjoyed my entire 3 day visit to St. Petersburg can't wait to return AND see my friends again!

Awesome food and even better service. Carnot was outstanding....split our shared salad and even got a receipe for us! We'll be back!

I recently visited this place for the first time. The view was amazing on the marina. I had a few drinks at the outside bar area. The Cosmo was delicious. The bartender was accommodating and he offered his suggestions for dinner, which I took and ordered the Corvina. It was delicious as well. I read bad reviews on here and was worried but after my visit, I feel like most of these reviews were written by very bitter people. You can't please everyone, but I was very pleased and will be back again on my next visit to St Pete
