On the road in Carinthia... this time we enjoy a traditional lunch in the gasthof gössnitzer in the Granitztal.As the main courses there were: the much-lobed zanderfilet in the meadow-grain coat with petersilkartoffeln and a mixed salad, as well as porosity medalaillons on pfefferrahmsauce again with pummy. an honest, family-run farm house with traditional stube where the price-performance ratio is correct and very much worth putting on homemade products and specialties from the region. with innovative ideas, the host brings new guests to his home and convinces with the family-friendly Sunday menus.
We were on an organized trip, so everything was already planned. First there was a typical Austrian soup, a bit strange for us but really good. As a second I chose a grill, which has nothing to see with what we mean in Italy. It was delicious, the typical cuts of Austrian meat, with the addition of various spices that here they smell everywhere. The restaurant, although upò dated, cared and clean. The waitress a bit hard and set, but really nice. There is also a train towed by a tractor that brings tourists around the valleys. Relaxing, a good idea!
With friends there twice and both times a slow and distinguished service. The food was good, but it certainly wasn't in relation to the price that people count for an invested sandwich. There's a lot better houses in the area.
First break at the gas house gössnitzer during the fit make with march on national holiday. I can highly recommend the leberknödelsuppe! riesenleberknödel and insanely delicious!
