Bidrage med feedbackThe delivery took a long time, and the website should be more accurate in delivery estimates. The dishes were very greasy, and I found three hairs in my dish, which was very off-putting.
We ordered Classic Chicken Karma, Onion Fried Rice, Rogan Josh Kashmiri, and Shami Kebab from this restaurant tonight. Everything was fantastic. The standout dishes were the shami kebab and the rogan josh. The lamb was cooked to perfection. We are looking forward to ordering from them again.
We decided to try the all-you-can-eat buffet based on recommendations, but when we arrived and requested it, the staff seemed confused until we showed them our voucher. They were unsure of the day it could be used on. We were limited to choosing from only 5 starters and were required to order our main meal immediately, which also had limited options. I wanted chicken tikka from the starter menu as my main, but was told I would have to pay full price. After some disagreement, I was finally able to get the chicken tikka as my main. The food was mediocre, and the poppadums with dips were overpriced at £7.50 for 6 pieces. Drinks must be purchased separately and you have to go to the bar to order them. Overall, the experience of the supposed all-you-can-eat buffet was disappointing.
There are plenty of Indian restaurants in the St.Neots and Huntingdon area but I had not been able to find any that could deliver consistently good Indian food. I had almost given up in my search for the perfect Indian restaurant when all of a sudden this little place opens up at the back of a pub in Offord Cluny! The restaurant is tiny but the food is absolutely amazing. This is seriously taking the Indian food scene in North Cambridgeshire to another level. The Tandoori cooked prawns were juicy and full of flavour whilst the Rajasthani Lamb was cooked to perfection; slow cooked melt-in-the-mouth tender in a thick tomato based sauce full of layered complexity. Side dishes were good and the pilau rice spot on. The Chicken Dansak had both the right level of spice and the right mix of sweet and sour. The Chapati bread however was way too thick and greasy but I can forgive one little mistake when the rest of the meal was absolute perfection. With Spice House opening in Offord Cluny, there is finally a good Indian restaurant in the area!
Cute layout, staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious...Going again very soon!
